Insulated Glass Units (IGU) consists or two or more panes of glass (monolithic or laminated) separated by an air or argon filled air space. The air space is filled with desiccant to remove trapped moisture. The unit is hermetically sealed around the edges using butyl and structural adhesive to ensure it does not leak. The inside glass surfaces can be coated with a low-emissivity coating to improve the solar control properties of the glass. Our IGU manufacturing line is audited to meet AS/NZS4666:2012 compliance.
Insulated glass units offers the best solar and acoustic insulating properties in architectural glass.
